Wilton Main Street Association Begins Construction on Phase One of the Wilton Main Street Park

The Wilton Main Street Association is excited to begin construction on Phase One of the Wilton Main Street Park, located at "Lot 48."

WMSA has secured the services of local landscape construction firm, Curtis Farm LLC to bring our dream of the beautiful green oasis into a reality.

Design of the Wilton Town Park was a collaborative effort done by members of the WMSA Design Committee, including Mickey Peiterse, Dodi Finlayson, Wil Melcher, and Caryn Mayo

The Wilton Town Park will be built in multiple phases, with the first stage including the creation of the footprint or outline of the park, which will include both hard-scape surface and green-space for plantings. Phase One will also include the installation of permanent electrical and plumbing lines, and a drip irrigation system.

WMSA is currently seeking donations for plantings that will go in the park, including small trees, bushes and flowering plants that will be planted at the end of Phase One. Other sponsorship opportunities may also be available as well, with donations of granite benches, light poles, and lamps.

Other design elements, including the pergola staging, and water feature will be installed at a future time, after WMSA completes a fundraising drive.

"We are all very excited to begin this project. This is a culmination of many individuals talents and efforts, creating a community space, which will hopefully encourage more people to utalize the downtown area,"says Program Manager, Sarah Pack.
